Mountain lodge Kalnik is situated on mountain called Kalnik at an altitude of 480 meters. It is surrounded by untouched nature and beautiful fort of the Old town Kalnik. There is a paved road that leads up to the lodge from the town of Kalnik. The lodge is a starting point of many hiking trails and mountain roads which lead to different destinations. There is also an educational trail which was built in 1996. The plateau by the TV tower and the plateau west from the Vranialc peak are also starting points for paragliders, often visitors and adventurers from Križevci and other areas. The mountain lodge has a historic, cultural and traditional atmosphere. It is the favourite place for gathering of citizens from the northern parts of Croatia, both hikers and those just seeking peace and quiet. There is an everyday offer of homemade, traditional specialities of this region, as well as other dishes from around Croatia and the world. In its offer, the lodge also has a quite distinct vine list. They are offering various vines and homemade beverages, so not one guest will leave the lodge hungry or thirsty. The mountain lodge Kalnik also offers accommodation. It has altogether 33 beds. The accommodation envisages one three-bed room, nine two-bed rooms and one twelve-bed room.
